Raksha Bandhan is very special festival for brother and sister. The meaning of Raksha is to protect and Bandhan is the bondage of love, affection and care. On Raksha Bandhan rakhi is the main source of attraction as it is prepared by sacred thread decorated with colorful stones and other shining materials. Kids are very happy to see their colorful rakhi.

Today I brought shaker rakhi for kids. I have tried to create something new for kids.

In this project you all need are
Quilling Strips (5mm,red,black,white)

· Color Stones

· Glitter Dust (any color)

· Color Thread

· Pearl ( different color)

· OHP Sheet ( transparent paper)

Step 1: I have cut circle from white thick paper which diameter is 4cm .You can change the size and shape also.I have taken red 5mm quilling strips and created inner part.

Step 2: I have taken 1/4 white and 1/4 red strip and created a little lose coin and created leaf shape. I have created 17 leaves.I have pasted all leaves on the edges of the circle.

Step 3: I have cut circle from OHP sheet ( transparent sheet) size 3cm diameter . I have inserted small size pearl (moti ) into the circle design and pasted OHP sheet on it.

Step 4: After then I have prepared color thread and pasted back side on the rakhi. I also pasted one paper strips for securing this thread.

Step 5: Same process I have created one more rakhi only shape is changed and I have inserted glitter dust inside.I have cut the shape and created the edge from 5mm quilling strip.You can see the image.

I have used 1 red and 1 black strips for creating ears.I have used 1/6 black strips for creating eyes and 1/4 red and 1/4 back strips for mouth.After completing I have used stones for looking attractive .
